The value for money at this place was fantastic. The room was cozy and comfortable, giving us a true Japanese experience with mat floors, sliding doors, and Yukata robes. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore all the main attractions. The staff treated us with great warmth and friendliness, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The breakfast option could have been improved by offering a wider variety of dishes.

Our stay at Fumonin was incredible. The quiet and calm atmosphere created the perfect environment for relaxation and reflection. Joining the morning prayers with the priests was a truly special and privileged experience. The temple itself is stunning and carries a deep sense of history. The staff were amazing, always polite and helpful. The vegetarian meals served, both for breakfast and dinner, were surprisingly delicious. After a day of exploring temples, the hot tub provided the perfect way to unwind. Staying at Fumonin was truly the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend this hotel for a unique and unforgettable experience.

Friendly Staff: The staff members were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to assist us during our stay. Despite the language barrier, their warm and genuine smiles made us feel right at home, like we were part of a big, loving Japanese family.
Language Barrier: While not a major issue, there were moments when communication became a bit challenging due to the staff's limited English proficiency. However, with a little patience and some basic Japanese phrases, we managed to overcome any potential misunderstandings.

We had an amazing experience staying at this intimate place. The dinner and breakfast served here were meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious. The beds were made for us when we returned from dinner, adding a touch of luxury. We also loved the bath, which had a perfect temperature for a winter night. Everything we needed, from yukatas to shower gel, was provided. The service here is recommendable, and we were warmly greeted by a monk who shared information about our stay with us. It was truly lovely.
We highly recommend this place to family and friends.

The hotel offered an authentic new year's experience with great food and a unique opportunity to participate in morning prayers. The location was convenient and allowed for easy access to nearby attractions. the staff was friendly and efficient in providing instructions for returning to the hotel after hours.
There were no morning shower facilities available during our stay, which was a slight inconvenience. However, the shared toilet and sink areas were kept clean and comfortable.
